Wagga Show Winners!

On Friday the 13th September, some of the Loreto Home of Compassion residents (along with some staff & volunteers on their day off) had an outing to the Wagga show.

Several of our residents had submitted arts and crafts for exhibition..

Doreen Jackman won a first, two second and three highly commended places in the knitting categories whilst Gwen Dugdale won a first, Denise O’Reilly, Joan Powell and Anne Dalgleish got highly commended in their artwork categories..
We had morning tea with the CWA ladies providing us with cups of tea and delicious cakes and slices.

We had a show lunch enjoying things like a twirly potato on a stick, hot chips with gravy, dagwood dogs & baked potatoes.

We got lucky & had great weather too.
We all arrived back in one piece with no incidents, everyone was exhausted but it was great to hear they all loved their day out!
