At Home Aged Care

Live your life, your way – at home in the Riverina

Most of us want to stay in our own home as we get older, surrounded by the people we love in the place we call our own. At The Forrest Centre, we make that possible. Our local team provides caring, professional support right across the Riverina so you can live life on your terms – safely, comfortably and independently.

We support clients in Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera, Tumut and Wagga Wagga Local Government Areas. Call our friendly Forrest Home Care team on 02 6932 3009 for help to work out what kind of care might suit you.

What we can help with

Your home care should fit your life – not the other way around. Whether you need a little extra help day-to-day or more regular support, we’ll tailor a plan around you.

Here’s a taste of what we offer:

  • Personal care – help with showering, dressing, grooming and medication reminders.

  • Household tasks – cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and shopping.

  • Transport and errands – getting to appointments, visiting friends or picking up groceries.

  • Clinical and allied health – nursing, physio, podiatry and other professional care.

  • Social support – a friendly face to drop in, share a cuppa and keep you connected.

  • Home and garden – light maintenance, safety checks and gardening.

Not sure what you need yet? That’s okay – we’ll talk it through together.

How it works

There are a few ways to access care at home. We’ll help you find what’s right for you.

Government-subsidised care
You may be eligible for funding through programs such as:

  • Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) – for entry-level help at home. You’ll need an individual referral code for each service you’d like to receive and will be asked to make a small co-payment towards the cost of your care. (CHSP will be rolled into the Support at Home program in 2026)

  • Support at Home (SAH) – for short term support (like home modifications and assistive technology) or ongoing and more complex support.

Private care
Prefer to start straight away or don’t qualify for government funding? You can choose flexible, pay-as-you-go care and adjust it anytime.

Tip: We can help you apply for funding, understand your budget, and set up services that work for you.

What our clients say

We were extremely happy with Care Worker Natasha who did some shopping for us and prepared some meals. She is lovely and so quick at getting everything done. She cleaned up the kitchen so well, the sink was gleaming afterwards.
— David & Shirley, Tumut
The support I receive to get me to a specialist appointment means the world to me. I’m grateful for my Case Worker who is happy to help anytime I need assistance.
— Elaine, Wagga Wagga
I want to acknowledge all the care staff who attend to me. They are all lovely and very helpful. If it was not for the care staff that take me shopping, I would probably never try different kind of foods.
— Judith, Griffith
