Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses

We are seeking Registered Nurses for a number of roles, including Night Duty.

We have a variety of Casual., part-time and full-time positions available for Registered Nurses.

These include casual roles, permanent part-time,   as well as maternity relief positions.  

About the role

You will report to the Facility Manager of the nursing home, and be responsible for carrying out and maintaining The Forrest Centre's high standards in terms of nursing care and support. You will work in Wagga Wagga.

You will:

  • Be part of a friendly, dynamic and supportive team.

  • Work a variety of shifts and have flexible working hours.

  • Assist in Care Planning and documentation.

  • Administer medications.

  • Have a knowledge of ACFI and/or AN-ACC.

  • Contribute to care planning for our residents.

  • Liaise with doctors and other health professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.

  • Access ongoing opportunities for education and training.

  • Take advantage of salary sacrificing to maximise your take-home pay.

You'll have:

  • A genuine interest in working with the elderly.

  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working as part of a cooperative team.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with the residents, family members and staff.

  • An attitude of empathy, patience, tolerance and discretion.

  • Willingness to learn practices and procedures in a positive, safe working environment.

  • Qualifications in Nursing or Aged Care (highly regarded).

  • Experience working in aged care or the health sector (highly regarded).

  • Work rights for Australia (visa sponsorship will not be offered).

The Forrest Centre is a Riverina-based aged care provider founded on spiritual support and personal connection.  We are a registered charity that has been working with the community for almost 40 years to ensure elderly people across the region receive the care and attention they deserve. The Forrest Centre includes residential aged care in Wagga Wagga at Loreto Home of Compassion (76 residents), Mary Potter Nursing Home (70 residents) and The Forrest Centre Hospice (10 residents) as well as Forrest Community Services for at-home care across the Riverina. We employ almost 300 staff across the region, who all share the same dedication to respectful, compassionate and people-centred care.
